Tablescapes for Fall

I LOVE dishes and I LOVE tablescapes.

Fall/Holidays is my favorite time to set the table.  Colors of rich browns, oranges, golds, purples and greens.  They are so yummy together!

Shopping through your own cabinets for dishes and decor items around the house is a great start.

Collect and place them in one area, a good way to see how odd bits and bobbles really can be displayed together.

Bring in multiple styles, sizes and colors of dishes to see how everything will coordinate.
LAYERS!
I cannot express enough how important layers are.  More than one fabric, pattern and color is a requirement.

Take what you already own and add what's needed from a little shopping at the stores.

Empty wine bottles can be inspirational and very useful too.

A can of spray glitter added to the outside of empty wine bottles and you've added a little extra sparkle to candle holders.

Love the wine bottles grouped together with two different colors of taper candles.

Leaves are quilted in the placemats and runner, repeating the leaves down the center of the table and in the napkins.

The napkins pull all of the colors together.

Don't forget to add some details to sideboards and cabinets in the same space.

Add spray glitter to some leaves but not all of them. The mix of flat and shiny is more appealing to the eye.  (sparkle and glitter can be overkill if applied too much)

Collect, layer and inspire.  Make your next gathering a little extra special.
